Dr. Stinnett has extensive experience in both academic medicine and in consulting for the pharmaceutical industry. She is the lead statistician at PCS and is Assistant Professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Duke University Medical Center (since 1994) and was the Director of Statistical Operations at the Duke Clinical Research Institute where she was responsible for the managing 35 statisticians who assist with the design and analysis of clinical trials. In 2001, she received a secondary appointment in the Department of Ophthalmology. As biostatistician assisting with planning and implementation of research projects including creating data collection instruments and data files, executing statistical analyses, and interpreting results. She writes statistical methods and results sections of publications. Her work is highly collaborative and she has over 50 publications.

Consulting Experience

Dr. Stinnett has had a variety of consulting experiences related to the pharmaceutical industry. She worked for Quintiles, opening their first international office in London in 1987. Subsequently, she worked as an independent consultant and had contracts with Clinical Research International, Rho, Inc., and Glaxo, among others. Most recently, she analyzed the data for ophthalmology and otolaryngology clinical trials, surgical procedures, and radiology.
